Orienteering Course
at Homewood Forest Preserve
Orienteering is a sport in which the participants find their way to various checkpoints across rough terrain. The following course is designed for those who are interested in the sport to get practice on an orienteering course designed for beginners.
The Homewood Forest Preserve Orienteering Course was created by Troop 97 Scout Aidan Wright for his Eagle Project in 2019.
There are two maps you can download. One for scouts looking to complete First Class requirements and another for beginners which have compass points and gps coordinates.
