Summer Camp 2015 was spent at Camp Woodruff in North Georgia. Camp Woodruff is part of the Atlanta Area Council and Troop 97 spent a week there a few years back.
Troops from all over the southeast spent a week there. We had troops from Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi and even a troop all the way from Austin, Texas. Of all the troops, Troop 97 was by far the largest there.
The scouts worked on a lot of merit badges during the week and the new scouts spent a week in the “Mountain Man” program. This is the same as the “Eagle Bound” program that our scouts have taken at Camp Sequoyah.
We look forward to returning to Camp Woodruff in the future.
